I agree about Newcastle Werewolf. It's really not living to its name. I thought it's going to be somewhat harder to drink than it is. When I poured the formidable beast into my mug, the off-white foam faded quickly. That alone says that the beer won't taste good. And it has this aroma of grainy malt and a little bit of caramel -- doesn't really live up to its name. So when I tasted it, well eh, it's just a standard beer for me.

About Newcastle Winter IPA, I want to try it but thanks to your review I changed my mind.

Cheers!

Great posts, thanks for sharing. It's so weird to see Canadian Pale Ale after being so accustomed to American Pale Ale.

A very interesting article giving an insight into the ambitions of several brewers. We've certainly come a long way in Toronto over the last few years.
Success to all of you. Just please don't get too elitist and trendy and out-hip
(out-hop?)yourselves. Brew a staple "session ale" at 3.6-4.2 that carries it's weight like a 5.0 (not that easy,) and you'll have a lot of happy punters!

Cheers,
Roger.

We need to do a side-by-side with the Sailor Jerry and see how they compare.

I'd guess the Cruzan would work better for baking (fruitcake, rumballs, etc) as Jerry can be a bit harsh.
